Group Discussion: "Earth on Turtle's Back"

In class my group discussed the Tone, ( the author's attitude toward the characters, the subject, and/or the audience), and the Mood,  (the emotional state of the reader), of the short story, Earth on Turtle's Back.  We came to the conclusion that the tone of this myth is that its very informative in how its trying to explain how earth was made.  The mood of the story, in our opinion, is that its teaching us a life lesson and teaching us about what that tribes beliefs where.
